When was the last time you actually saw a NEW train shop? Keith Lipske has done just that. he and his wife Pam Yano have opened Timberline Train Shop in downtown Downers Grove IL.

I can only applaude the guts and obvious love for the hobby. I noticed the very nice looking shop while in the burbs on business, a friend calling it out to me. While it wasn’t open, (They are open Tues thru Sat) I coulden’t help but notice how sharp it looked. It’s in a very nice area on the main street of down town Downers Grove.

Kieth doesen’t carry our products (yet) and I don’t care. We wish him great success. If you’re within 50 miles go out for a visit (you might mention us).

But for occasional shows, we are a on line business, but as a hobby we need brick and mortar hobby shops for the health of our hobby.

This is Dave. Did a little research, Timberline has actually been open since December of 2010. Their hours are 10AM-5PM Tuesday - Saturday. They specialize in HO and N scales.
