Well folks, it’s Thanksgiving and that means that it’s our 6th anniversary. Yup, it was 6 years ago when my brother Thom came over for dinner and showed me what he had been playing with. As you can see, it’s a very unique narrow gauge enginhouse. I could’nt believe that it was paper. From that conversation we started Clever Models. I want to thank all of you loyal friends, out there, for all your support, over the years. Keep watching this blog. This is going to be an interesting year with lots of new things happening. Thanks again,
Dave & Thom Miecznikowski
Hoosier Mama Pies is a new kit that we developed at the request of the real business owner. This is a tricky one because it has a detailed interior. This is where computer design precision really shows itself. The fit of the parts is amazing. Even I’m surprised how it’s going together. Here’s just one teaser shot.
As we have said many times we are playing with rolling stock. Here are a few early pix of a test build by Marc Witten. This steeple cab is based on a brass “ken kidder” 16 ton GE switch engine that was originally electrified. We have two of these running on our O scale switching layout, one modified into a freelanced gas-mechanical. Marc tells us that he has found a power truck from a trolly that will fit this cab. we will keep you posted on his progress.
