I have a feeling Dave Frary doesen’t like the King moniker he’s been saddled with but it’s undeniable that he’s one of the most recognized and respected modelers on the planet and a real nice guy to boot. He was keeping a low profile until recently, (he’s a master competitive BBQ cook) deciding to be more visible in the railroad hobby again. He’s been posting pics of his past builds on facebook and heres one from a Nantucket museum On30 layout that features a couple of our smaller kits and materials.
When we first started out with cardstock modeling Dave was very supportive and got the paper models thing right away. He’s a pro and knows a good thing when he sees it.
He commented that our kits fit right in with all the scratchbuilds and no one even notices that they’r paper.
We will be at the 27th annual New Braunfels Historic Railroad and Modelers Society, Inc. train show in New Braunfels, Texas on April 9th, and 10th. The show is at the New Braunfels Civic Convention Center, 380 South Seguin Avenue. Show hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. If you are in the area, come and visit. For more information, contact: Jimmy Edmondson at JEdmondson@satx.it.com See you there.
This kit has a lot going for it. Three buildings and three types of tanks and silos. Kit bashing possibilities galore. Next the Firehouse and then the Mill. (I hope.)
