Just a heads up.

Every once in a while, I get an email from a customer with an issue or a request and when I appempt to send a reply, it doesn’t get through.  Many times my browser comes back with a message thet the original sender cant be found of the email address is not accepting mail.  I just want you all to know that I take every contact from you all very seriously, but for a reason beyond my control, I can’t reply to you.  99.5% of the time it is because your inbox is restricted and won’t let me in or it’s full and same thing.  It is always a great idea to include a phone number whenever you NEED me to get back to you cause sometimes email just don’t work.  This blog was prompted by a fellow named Joe and I hope he reads this.  You can reach me at 708-339-7523.

Attention NMRA members

About a year ago I was approached by your president to do a promotion to encourage NMRA membership, which I happily did.  If you entered a code that only members had, you got 25% off your entire order.

Well, I didn’t realize it but the program expired accidentally.  I have just re-instated it, so if you recently or any time got an error message try you order again.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Finally, O Scale Cream City Building A arrives.

So many of you have asked for this, that I finally figured out how to get this big building into O scale.  Its overall size is about 14” x 14”.  Had to figure out some interesting splicing for the long walls.  Just to get this out in any kind of reasonable time frame, I separated the three building complex into individual kits.  Building A is the latgest and the main piece.  Buildings B & C will be along soon.  If you remember, a couple of months ago, the freebie was Building D.  A fictitious addition to the complex, that I used as a prototype for this building.  This one is a bit tricky because some of the walls are big and floppy, but it is not a difficult kit.  This version is much better detailed that the original HO kit.  Enjoy.

OK, eventually I do get things done.

I know I’m guilty of not following through on things pretty often.  But look what a little guilt can accomplish.  Recently, there seems to be a bit of activity with sales of the Clyde Puffer Steam Cargo Boat, kit S85.  One of those buyers was our good friend Mike Robinson.  He has been buying Clever Models kits since the very begining and I really appreciate his loyalty.  So, I get an email from him on November 30, this year, “REMINDING” me that I clearly state on one of the kit pages, that instructions for the kit would be available “SHORTLY” on the web site.  So that kit came out in about 2013.  I guess 7 years is enough time for me to get them done.  They are on the FREEBIES page.  Thank you Mike for the gentle push.
