P/N S113, City Ice & Beverage Co.
As it says in the picture, we believe that City Ice was a Brewery somewhere in Pennsylvania at the turn of the century. When we saw the picture of this building, we knew we had to make it into a kit, even though we didn’t have any details but what we could see. The main Building is 39’-0 long x 22’-0 wide. The Office on the South end is 15’-9 long x 18’-3 wide. The loading Dock is 22’-3 long x 8’-3 wide. We would love the opportunity to upgrade and enhance this kit, so if you have any information on the building, please let us know. This is an intermediate level kit, but by no means difficult. Expect to spend a couple of weeks of evenings on it.

P/N S114, Woolworth’s 5 &10¢ Store
Woolworth’s 5 & 10¢ Store is typical of what was once found in many small-town business districts. It will fit nicely into just about any timeframe from the early 1900’s to the present. This is a fairly large building, scaling out at roughly 35’ wide x 40’ deep and 29’ tall. Although it looks simple, this is an expert level kit. But the 12 pages of instructions and many detail views break the build down into sub-assemblies that just about any modeler can put together into a great building. There are a lot of details to be built and many variations to be decided on. There are extra blank signs, for the front. The rear and side walls have at least 3 versions each that can be chosen. Expect to spend a couple of weeks of evenings of enjoyable building.

Patch Houses were the typical coal miner’s residence in the early 19th. Century. Coal mine owners would build company towns, that became known at “patches”. All the homes were usually alike and well built. The towns also had all the necessities for family life, like churches, stores of various types and of course, saloons. Everything was owned by the mine and costs were deducted from the miners pay. This kit is an example of one of the styles of homes that might have been provided. The basic building is 17’ wide x 26’-6 deep x 24’ tall. The front porch is 15’ wide x 8’ deep, the rear porch/addition is 15’ wide x 6’ deep. This kit is a bit different from what we typically provide as it is in almost new condition. It has very little weathering. Normally our buildings are fairly distressed looking. Maybe, if there is enough interest, a more weathered version might be developed. We’ll see. This is a medium level kit and the average modeler should be able to build it in a couple of weeks of evenings.

Clever Bros. Paper Products is intended to go against a backdrop and so is only 2’ deep. The basic size of one floor is 37’ wide x 12’ tall. This is a modular style kit and can be built in an almost endless variety of versions. It is a very well detailed kit, but simple enough for the new paper modeler. There are also enough options to keep the seasoned modeler interested. The kit also includes a full sheet of the matching brick texture. A kitbasher’s dream. The basic structure can be built in a couple of evenings.
