I was looking at the Roadside Stand on the Wood Frame Industrial Buildings disk and have a question about screen windows. In notes on one of the pages it says "Window Screens - sandwich open mesh material between frames and fold over". My question is what do you use for "open mesh material"? In the photo of the building on the cover page you can clearly see through the window screens. It really looks neat. I would like to try it.
In the olden days when we sold these we put in a bit of wire mesh that we got from art supply stores. the mesh is used in sculptures. I would follow Johns advice or you might find wedding vail material at a craft store. I have seen silver. I think a taupe would be better so old hose would be great. Thom
I recently ordered a plain black tea at Starbucks. It came with a large teabag made of a very nice fine mesh cloth. Transparent when viewed straight on, but almost shiny from an angle. One bag yields an almost 2"x4" sheet.
Try pantyhose.
