I just printed out the HO trailer file and started to cut out the various parts. I noticed that when I cut out the side of the trailer that was laid out horizontally on the sheet that it was slightly longer than the side that was laid out vertically on the sheet. The horizontal dimension was 5.22 inches and the vertical part was 5.17 inches. I printed the file out on my HP C4600 selecting the actual size option. Paper size was 8 1/2 x 11. Any suggestions on how to get the vertical scale to equal the horizontal scale?

I assume you mean the Office Trailer..

I printed several copies with my Epson WF-7510 printer and could not discern any difference in dimensions, so it appears the pdf
( at least my copy is OK). Measured 5-1/32 inches in both dimensions using fit to page option ----- 5-5/32 inches using actual size option

Check and adjust the print head alignment on your printer -- I don't know if this could cause the problem but it is worth doing.

I know some copy machines can steach the paper a little. Maybe your printer does this too. -- Don't know wht to do about this.

Does your printer allow different scaling of horizontal and vertical dimensions?

Hi Ron. I was finally able to get an opportunity to print out the trailer files again to triple check them and the the horizontal and vertical views came out the same size. I don't know of any adjustments that you can make to a printer to change the scaling in just one direction. Like Don suggested, check the calibration on your printer. Sometimes it can get pretty out of whack. Also check to see if the paper might be slipping in the feed rolls. This might cause shortening in only the feed direction. Other than that, I unfortunately, don't know what to tell you. Maybe try the files on a friends printer. I'll keep thinking about this and if I come up with anything I'll post it.

Sounds like the button "fit to paper size" is activated. Check your printer settings, they should be "Scaling: none" and "fit to paper size" disabled. Be sure you choosed the correct paper size, american "letter" and european "A4" are sometimes mixed up.
