Discussion > O Scale Brick Garage with Loft

I print the O scale brick garage with loft and the front office door is a scale 8 feet tall. I have the printer set for actual size, so I can only assume that the door is 8 feet tall. Is this correct?

Yes Bill, you are correct. That door is actually a bit larger than 8'. This kit is of an actual building in the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago. The whole building is a bit unique in size, which is one of the reasons we picked it to model. We don't know if it was built by or for a very large person. We just know it exists. If you want to make it a more conventional size, (6'-8" door), you can print it out at about 83%.

Dave,
Thanks for the quick reply. Just wanted to make sure.

Have you guys ever thought of putting a actual inch marker on each print so that we can make sure it is printing out at the correct scale. I really like that when I print out other drawings.

I second what Bill said .. a inch marker is something that I have wanted myself

Many of our newer kits have scale markers. The garage is one of our original older kits.

As Thom said, we have been putting a 1'-0 x 10'-0 scale marker on most kits done in the last 2 years or so. It kinda looks like a white RR tie. Maybe in the future we will give it some additional hash-marks.
