Discussion > Central Camera

I am building the central camera building in o scale. Used the alternative front with doors. Was wondering if there is an alternative front upper without the central camera sign, a plain front.

Joe,

If you have PhotoShop or a similar program you can use the layers tool to create a plain finish. It takes a little bit of work but the end result will be your reward.

First study the model and see if there is a area that will provide the finish you are after. If so 'select' the area and do a copy. Then do a past over the area of the model that you want to change. This will create a layer. Now change the opacity of the new layer so that you can see the old area under the new layer. Trim the new layer to the size you need. Then change the opacity to 100%. Now merge the layers and you will have the new front that you want.

Before you do all the above be sure that you are working with a copy and not the original of the model. If you have the 'Textures' disk you can most likely find the finish that you are after. The procedure is pretty much the same as above except that you will be copying from a file on the 'Textures' disk.

Clear as mud! Good luck.

Joe,

I just took a look at the Central Camera kit. If you look at the side and back walls you will see that there is enough brick area for you to copy and past over the sign. Good luck.
