A while ago, last year, you posted these photos from Steve Cox in your blog:

http://clevermodels.squarespace.com/blog/2014/5/18/new-zealand-n-scale-from-steve-cox.html

I had two questions,

1: where did he get that great forest background, and
2: how did he make that dirt driveway?

I thought the driveway really looked like mud,
and I wanted to make some puddles in a scrapyard parking lot I am working on, but I never got around to it.
I also really liked that lush background, it really would fit into my New England summer machine shop layout.

Thanks for your time,
Clark. (CSAhomodeler) (;

While I am not sure where Mr. Cox got his backdrop, www.larcproducts.com sells graphic discs that you can print out the landscape of your choice. The backdrop behind Mr. Pontzer's On30 layout in the 2015 On30 Annual was made with a larc graphic disc and I have all 5 discs. I print the background of choice on a Epson printer and glue the sheets onto a large piece of cardboard and mount it behind my layout. My On30 and two Z scale layouts have these backdrops.

Cheers,
Jeff
