I've just about completed the 0 scale Hoosier Mama's Pie Company (now renamed JoAnn's Pie Company after my daughter-in-law). I bought a "customer" and a "waitress" to put near the front window. My "customer" sits nicely on the bench, but my standing waitress keeps falling over. I've used "Tacky Wax" and "Blu-Tack." Blu-Tack is better but not exceptional. Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep the waitress standing straight?
Hi Linda. Thanks for buying the kit. For mounting people, as well as other things I want to be able to move around I use the PSA glue available from Micro-Mark. It is advertised for installing clear styrene canopy's and such. I put a dab on each foot and let it dry. If you press the item down firmly, the bond is relatively permanent. Don't press too hard and things are movable. It comes in a fairly large squeeze bottle about the same size as Aileen's Tacky Glue (which might also work, but will be permanent) so you should have enough to last a LONG time. Good luck.
Another option is if you are not going to see the feet you can mount the person on a clear plastic base, (thickness will very based on size and weight). Then you can move the person around a little bit and secure the base with the tacky-wax.
I have not built this structure yet, so it would be nice if you could post some images when your done.
