Just finished the haunted House. really turned out well. The black areas can be left as they are to represent tar paper or can be cut out with studs glued behind them. I did both. The small round holes in the large "Gingerbread' roof support were made by pushing a tapered scriber thru till you get to the right size. You can leave the scriber in & cut around it on the back to get a flat surface, but the protruding paper can't be seen unless you look straight up from the bottom. Made some curtains from distressed tea bags. Also, if you roll the stovepipe as shown you will end up with about a 3 foot pipe which I thought looked too big. I wrapped it around a bamboo skewer which ended up about 10" in HO. I thought i would make the roof overhang some on front & back so I used wood texture from Clever printed on 100# paper & folded in half to have wood grain on top & bottom., This would allow the wood to be seen from underneath as well as on top where the roofing was missing, had to add 15% to the roofing size for the larger roof. Really a nice building, especially for FREE. Do as I did & hit the DONATE button,
Nice. I've done one in HO to put on a display our club will be hosting at a local library the weekend following this next one. I will put a flickering light in it. I'll post a picture then.
