Hi all

I've been gimping, cutting, and layering. I took some pictures of my plan but I have two options and looking for feedback. However I couldn't see how to add my pictures

Hi Dick,
Can't wait to see the pix. One of the (the only) ways we exercise some bit of control over this blog / discussion is to control the posting of pix. If you email them to <mize1@sbcglobal.net>, we will put them up. It has a lot to do with file sizes, etc. Before we started to control things, we got some HUGE files posted and they darn near took down the website. So if you just send them to me, I'll work on getting them up.
Thanks.

Dick,
Now that I've seen the pictures, I understand why you can't decide. Why don't you build all three versions?

We need some more information on the era, location and purpose of the model, Dick. If it sits along a siding with freight/loading access every boxcar length then the era determines warehouse door/dock spacing. Sited along a street with no access, however, eliminates the need for the freight door/loading dock.

Alternatively, if its main purpose is to hide something (like a storage yard behind on an exhibition module) then it might need full height for the full length of the structure.

So what are you attempting?

Happy modelling, Lynn

Thanks for the reply. My question was more one of aesthetics. Which one looks better, Factory wider than warehouse wing, Warehouse wider than factory or both the same size?

My preference would be the first photo, with the smaller factory portion and larger warehouse portion. The multi story factory balances the wider warehouse portion.
