Discussion > Hazleton finished with plenty of CLEVER

I had a vague idea that I wanted to incorporate the town of Hazleton, PA into my layout in some form. The first component that anchored the area was a massive coal breaker - construction of that is here: https://morristhemoosetm.wixsite.com/rainbows/post/the-quest-for-coal (talked that one up on a previous post on this discussion forum, but it's a kitbash of at least 4 Clever kits). The next anchor was on the opposite side of the available space, the Duplan Silk Mill, which was also a novel use of the Philly Modular kit (https://morristhemoosetm.wixsite.com/rainbows/post/clever-clever-2), but I also incorporated the following Clever kits (mostly as designed) into Hazleton: Lucky's Lunch counter, the Coal Dealer, the Brick Warehouse, Plant #2, the Silver City Tool Shed, Coal and Grain Storage Silos, The Cannery, the Silver City flat, The Cream City Tool Works Buildings A&B, the 8' board fence and even a Shiner. I love how it all blended together and with additional details, the addition's a great feature on my layout. You can see some of the build history and plenty of photos of clever models in https://morristhemoosetm.wixsite.com/rainbows/post/contest-time The only structure that isn't a Clever kit or kitbash is a standard plastic Belvidere hotel kit.

I've enjoyed using many of Clever Models "kits" in some form or fashion and enjoyed looking at what you have done with them. Fact of the matter is, I counted 18 pieces on my 4X6'4" layout using Clever Brothers' models. Keep us informed on further developments. . . .

Thanks Mack! Thought I'd take an overall picture of the entire addition and then the same shot with all of the Clever structures listed here: https://morristhemoosetm.wixsite.com/rainbows/post/clever-clever-3
