I was searching the web today and caught a link to this site, man what a relief. I have been wanting to build structures with cardstock for some time but really don't know where to start. To me Cardstock modeling makes sense, low cost, variety, and I haven't seen my grandmothers house in any kit but I do have a problem.

Where do I start, I mean I've never done this before and if there was an example that I could build with just "how to do it" help I think I would be on my way. Any ideas ?

Steven,

If you can get hold of a copy of O Gauge Railroading, Run 235, I have an article on cardstock structures with all kinds of hints. I used a Clever model as an example. Although I must admit that I prefer my own article better, there was also an article in Model Railroader (back a month or two ago) on cardstock models, as well. Also, if you go back in the blog section on this website (about tab 3 or 4), Thom wrote a very comprehensive essay on cardstock modeling which should give you plenty of ideas.

Steven, We are going to post a new kit next week and will be posting additional kits every month or so. There are a lot of free kits available on the internet. they are not as detailed or high resolution as what we offer but as a way to get started they might work for you. Down load our Monson snow plow next week and a signal tower will follow it a couple of weeks later.
Welcome to the fold. hahahaha get it paper fold oh i slay myself some times. Welcome to the fold.....

Thanks guys for all the input. Yes I will be downloading the freebie's and all the help as well. I copied the Thom article to read and thanks Jim for notice of the detailed downloads. I'm glad this web site is here, I've been looking for help with scratch building with cardstock and everyone I know uses plastic kits and being a newbie when it comes to model building anything and as little as I know about searching the Internet its been nearly impossible to find articles on using cardstock. In all truefulness if it wasn't for passingloop.com I would not have run across your site.

Thanks again for your help,

Steven
