A different approach to the Flag Stop by Marc Witten

Marc chose a different route when he built this months freebie.  Abandoned, but not forgotten.  Goes to show the versatility of the kit and the creativity of the builder.  Thanks for sharing Marc, great job.

Nice! I love it! Do you have a place on a railroad planned for it, or are you like me and just building for a future, as yet unstarted, railway? I really like the signs and the open front door. Your multi-level-distressed roof is nice too. I think I am going to start making mini dioramas for my models to make them more interesting to look at, and to add landscaping.

Are you working on any other model presently?

I am almost finished with my copy,and have a suggestion. I painted the glass areas with gloss coat. it creates a different texture and shows some potential

send some photos please. I tried using artist's gloss medium, and it made the window glass shiny, but also showed brush strokes. Overall, I thought the effect was pretty good, and I will probably use it again. Especially on windows when the are too small to cut out and 'glaze' with acetate.

hi ben,i dont have a layout yet was building a british O scale tram layout,have now decided that the layout will now be both American O,or British O,with dual track enabling me too choose which layout i want at the shows,currently building an Illinois Traction reefer car to go behind the steeplecab,will keep everyone posted Marc

Thanks for the question,I dont have a camera,However what I did was turn the working side up and puddle the gloss on the window.In the distance its not too bad,close up though,the window does like it would it would benefit from mullens.
