The layout is 12' 16' in an enclosed two-car garage (not many basements in Florida), shaped like the letter "E"; the 16' length running the long legs of the "E". It is designed to run point-point (it's a Chili Line knock-off) from Espanola into the Jemez mountains to the town of Valle Grande (currently the town of Plywood). However, I have a lift out that allows me to run continuously for visitors.
Jim, Thanks for posting the photos of your layout. Are there any others available for viewing online? Any magazine articles about your layout? Thanks, LarryR
I'm afraid that I don't have much time to maintain an active web page [although I have thought about it]. My layout was featured in "Run 231" (Sept or Oct 2008, as I recall) of O Gauge Railroading, which was an issue devoted to On30. In subsequent issues of OGR (sorry, I can't remember the numbers), I did a piece on building cardstock models (with a Clever garage as the example) and there are some pictures of my layout that accompany an article on scratchbuilding a D&RGW coal shed [in the November 2009 OGR]. There are some pictures of my layout in the Jan/Feb 2010 issue of O Scale Trains [the feataure article is on my trials and tribulations and collaborations with Thom, on the test build of the enginehouse at Gorre], and a trackside photo in the February 2010 issue of Model Railroader. Finally, if you are interested in adobe, there are some pictures of my layout in an article about building adobe structures in the Nov/Dec 2008 issue of Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette.
If you are anywhere near central Florida, I'm giving a clinic on prototype-freelancing the Chili Lines in On30 on Saturday (Feb 27) in Sarasota and in May at the NMRA Sunshine Region convention in Tallahassee.
The photos show three Clever models ... the house in the top picture is a Clever model, as well as Woody's and the garage in the lower picture. I have made quite a few more, as well. They are just plain fun! Don't want to post too many pictures. This is, after all, for everyone to share photos .... not just me.
I'm in the middle of building a new contest model (board by board) and reckon I still have at least another month on it before I can show it off at the next NMRA contest.

Have you made any other Clever models? I know you have made the engine house and the water tank. Do you have any more to share?
