Plant #2 build by Dave Morrow

Here’s a couple of pix sent to us by Dave Morrow.  This Plant #2 is in S scale.  Looks like Dave did  an excellent, full build.  I think the valentine graffiti is a nice touch.

Nice job, Dave! You'd never know it's a paper model.

I do hope it's going on a layout. It would be great to see it in a proper setting.

Thanks all for the nice comments especially since I know you ALL have done nice work! I would like to start an S layout and do it semi-scale, semi Hi-rail, but realistically there are only two manufacturers of non-looking toy track in 3' flex track. They are American Models and S Helper Service. However, neither manufacturer makes high frog number (6 or 8) switches. There is one guy in Maine who custom makes very nice S gauge switches (Tom's Turnouts). He specializes in using S Helper Service rail, but apparently there is a problem with the Chinese manufacturer of that rail, so S Helper Service flex track and Tom's Turnouts products are on hold.

I was thinking of just using maybe a three foot (or less) track section and building a very detailed diorama. Like I said I am a complete novice so must hone my skills first on that before I attempt a layout.

Thanks all.

Thom if you wants some pics let me know and i can email some to you, regards Marc. The one i used to get asked for was the 6" radius tram style turnout with a sprung blade, and the Dual gauge turnouts were also popular too ,along with main line standard gauge and turnout narrow used for loading bays for transhipment of goods, quite impressive too, building the yard shed at moment will post pics when done.
