I stink at keeping secrets even more than Thom!

You get one picture and only one.  This is going to take a while.  There are allot of mechanics to figure out.  This has got to be structural, as well as beautiful.  No prototype.  Just out of my warped imagination so you guys can’t quibble about details.  NO RIVIT COUNTING ALLOWED!  I’m not even thinking about powering.  Strictly manual.

Love the turntable. I have great need for a small one on my layout right away, especially if I can, at a minimum, figure out how to do the electronics (should be easy with DCC). The Chili Lines had a number of open-air, roundhouse-less turntables for turning pushers. I would love to see how it fits into my layout. I can see a few details that need to be added already (pushbars for a manual turntable). I hope it's released soon!

Dave,

The sample build looks great. I am sure that this model will be a great seller for you.

At the moment I have a paper model of a turntable. The kit is from Germany. What is interesting about this kit is that instructions are provided for powing the turntable.

The model is much too large for my layout. I was planning to take this kit to train show later this month but if you like I will send it to you. Please advise.

I have no intention to figure out a way to power it. I will give instructions for building a pivot bearing. I haven't even thought about details yet. That's why I said it will be a while before this becomes a kit. At least a couple of months. It might even end up being part of a engine service area. Don't know yet. Just something I'm playing with in my "SPARE" time. HA HA, like I have any. Just for information purposes, the pit is about 6" across. Might end up being less. This 0-4-0 and our Steeplecab just fit without any overhang.

I am just beginning to scratch build a roundhouse (already have the turntable). Hopefully the roundhouse doors will be available seperately.

Hey John Handlogten, this is one of the beauties of paper modeling. Have I got a deal for you. Make a donation of $2.00 to the cause and give me your email address. You can send that to mize1@sbcglobal.net Also tell me your scale. I will send you the sheet, from the Gorre & Daphetid Enginehouse kit, that I stole those doors from. I did a bit of rescaling, when I printed them out to make them more suitable for narrow gauge, but there you go again. The magic of paper!
