Marc,

Those are, indeed, Tom Yorke kits: the groceria and the mercantile in adobe. Tom is a friend and I have a dozen or so kits of his on my layout. They are great kits and it does take a little skill to get those plaster castings to look good. The herrero (blacksmith) is my own design and appeared a few years ago in Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette.

Really nice work, Jim. I thought I recognized the blacksmith from the Gazette. All of the various modeling materials you've used blend nicely together. Thanks for the pics.

Ah Jim,now i can put model to person,in the NG&SL,as for Tom's Models yes they are excellant, but alas i can't bring them out here to Oman to heavy for case, thats why i try to do them using card,Hence the backdrop on my Traction layout taken from Tom's Industrial sketchbook,i look at Tom's drawing's to see if i can build it in cardstock,as the weight then is next to nothing.Have come to know Tom,over the past years even helped getting stuff for him for his Large Models.

Like your layout, its very impressive i must say.

Marc.
