I think a broader shot of your layout would give the viewer a better idea of what you guys can create. I like the photo above a lot but I think you want to show the viewer tracks and trains, including card stock trains, as well as structures to help the viewer envision what he/she could have.
I like the up close shots when you are shooting model railroads. Especially if you're selling your buildings in an advertisement. You look at them and say"Thats paper?" I want to try that. Now you have gotten the reaction you want.
Being a very small layout its a real challenge to get wide shots without a lot of extra non railroad stuff in the shot but I will keep posting what ever I can
