SILVER CITY BUILDINGS KITBASHED AGAIN

You guys just never stop blowing me away.  This time Dick Green has been busy with these popular kits.  Dick has done a great job with the tool house.  The lean-to is fantastic.  Notice how good the shake roof looks.  GREAT JOB Dick!!!

Thanks Dave.

this is my best yet. I have learned a lot along the way, come up with some techniques that might help others. The biggest one is inset doors and windows. Relatively easy in O scale. difficult in HO. and hair pulling in N. What I came up with is cutting off the tabs. I glue them to strips of balsa. I then glue the strips to the back of the wall. Then glue my layered door or window to that.

The shakes are from Creeky Roofing. I got some Kraft colored scrapbook paper Printed the shakes. They are more subtle than white paper but no white edges to color Gonna try this with the wooden fence kit in a gray paper.

I am becoming quite addicted to this medium

Wow, it's amazing to see the level of talent and creativity that exists within our community. Dick Green has truly outdone himself with these popular kits, and the tool house is a prime example of his skill and attention to detail. The lean-to is also incredibly impressive, and the shake roof looks absolutely fantastic. It's always inspiring to see people pursue their passions and excel at what they do, and Dick has certainly done just that. Great job, Dick! Your work is truly blowing us all away.
