Trainfest Report

We just returned from Trainfest a few hours ago and can say that it was a pretty good show.  I’m sure attendance was down from previous years though.  This meant that sales (at least ours) were down also, although we did pass out a lot of literature and the questions asked showed that there was much more interest.  I think people are finally realizing that great looking structures don’t have to cost an arm and a leg.  The Woods Mill was really well received.  We even got an offer to buy the display model.  (Didn’t take it.)  Met a lot of great folks, saw many old friends.  Our HOn30 layout was on display and ran flawlessly, as usual.  Made some new magazine contacts and possibly a distributor.  Talked to quite a few clubs and organizations who want us to do clinics.  All in all it was, as I said previously, pretty good.  Hopefully, we’ll get a lot of follow up orders.

Dave, my brother and I attended the annual train show in Mt. Clemens, MI again. We took the time to plug the Clever Models web site and had models to show. No postcards this year but made sure people knew about your web site. Glad to hear that your show went well.
