19th. century railcars

Continuing the thread on passenger cars from the 1900’s, I have just finished revisions and an additional color scheme, for a combine and a passenger car. These cars are based on photos but are extrapolated from several cars and don’t have a specific prototype. The cars, in 4 color schemes will be available numbered and lettered and blank. Shown here, is the SR&RL combine. The kits have an improved clerestory that goes end to end.

You can only get this kind of work from Clever Models LLC.

Those look beautiful ! I can't wait for the kits ... especially the blanks ... something the Jemez & Rio Grande would welcome !

I'm trying to build a couple of the cars in N scale, but life keeps getting in the way. I built one in O scale, it went together well, except for the clerestory, where my understanding failed me.

Were these passenger cars previously available? I don't recall ever seeing any, other than the freight cars.

They are new. I just re designed the clerestory though it can be built without it. I also did recessed steps on the landings. It will be in 3 or 4 common color schemes and with and without road names and numbers. If anybody wants something specific, now is the time to request it.

I wasn't going to buy any more kits for a while, but will have to buy this when it comes out.
Also running out of space for buildings.
Possibly a silly question, but would it be possible to put all windows on a separate sheet so that they could be printed on acetate?
I ask this because my skill level and paws rather than hands mean several attempts before I get something fairly acceptable .
All ready can see possibilities for Railcar using one of your "critters". Have already tried this but didn't look right mixed with plastic parts, although that might just be lack of skill.

Congratulations Thom and Dave,

This car looks just great, and it is what I had hoped you would design and create. I hope you will release all combinations for sale soon. I have my order ready.

Thank You & Best Regards,
Mike

I'm wondering if the car could use a touch more weathering. Also final call on roadnames and markings. what does it have to have? What dont you want to see? last call to have input on changes.

Bit of weathering would be nice. Would like the option to not have roadnames.
