Another New FREEBIE is available.

The new freebie is posted and available for download.  Something a little different this time.

Remember that we are posting in O scale but we include instructions to print in any smaller scale.

Actually, I have been getting some inquiries about making textures available in larger scales.  Well that actually let’s me mention something that I just didn’t realize before but is really obvious.  I have always said you can’t print kits larger than O scale because the printing spills off the edges of the page.  While that is also true with textures, because they are repetitive patterns, maybe it doesn’t matter as much.  You just have to splice sheets together.  If you are willing to match the pattern and do a bit of splicing, textures will work.  What you will loose is the Clever Models LLC header and Copyright information off the top and bottom of the sheet.  Be aware the even though that data is not actually printed, the Copyright is still in effect.

HAPPY MODELING

I've printed textures in 1/24th scale and they are fine, but yes they do spill of sheet (A4 paper in UK),
I would add this is only for my own use so don't think contravenes your copy-write but if it does please let me know..
At some point will take photos of 1/24th layout and send them to you.

"I have always said you can’t print kits larger than O scale because the printing spills off the edges of the page."

I have an Epson A3 printer so usually print larger scale (16mm/SM32 - 1:19) materials at home but A3 printing is readily available in printing service, office supply and similar shops. Best of all they will usually print onto cardstock you supply if they don't have their own supply... my favourite printing service has at least two weights of A3 stock and their laser printing results in an excellent image for modelling and digital fine art purposes.

Since my favourite printing service also prints posters and other large items I've even taken in A2 card for their pigment ink printer -- they normally only stock heavy paper. Fantastic results and very reasonable pricing for both A3 and A2!

As I said a million (well maybe 500) times, the ability to print replacement or extra parts, in the scale YOU want, is one of the best features of paper modeling. Just try making a larger brick wall in Hydrocal.

I know you all are versatile enough builders to always find a work around, no matter the situation that arises.

Roger, no problem my friend. It's all good.
