New FREEBIE posted

For you fans of this website, you have already noticed that the MAGIC NUMBER is back to 5 and you know what that means.  The new freebie posted is called the Small Stone Grainery.

Recently I changed the number of sales needed to generate a new freebie from 200 to 300.  I’m sure you all didn’t like it, but it makes good financial sence to me.  BUT, because you have all been waiting so patiently, I hought that you deserved a little something more for your money.  So, this freebie, instead of being just a simple couple of pages with no insructions, is really a full fleded kit.  I think I could have easily sold it for $7.00 and you would probably have bought it.

Anyway, the Grainery is a completely detailed kit with full instructions and a beautiful illustration.  I also fulfilled a couple of requests and numbered the parts to make assembly easier to understand.  (This may stay, may not.  Please let me know what you think.)

The footprint is about 13’-9” x 13’-9” x 23’-3” tall.  There is an optional dormer (not really optional, as that is how they would have loaded grain) that can be placed on either side.  It is on a separate sheet so you can easily make 2 or 3, if you wish.

All in all, it is a great little kit to cut your teeth on.  Plenty of detail, but very simple to build.  You can complete this kit easily in a weekend or a fairly long evening.

Thanks fo the time-to-time availability of freebies.
I noticed what I think is a strange perspective issue with the front wall of the granary. The perspective of the upper window on the front wall seems to be at odds with the perspective of the doorway. I think the window and the brickwork above and below needs to be flipped 180 degrees.
Thanks again for your website and models,
George

George,
Man, you have a good eye. You are correct. I didn't think anyone would notice.

Hey Jim
Did Thom ever follow up on your request for an adobe texture? If not, please remind me of what you were looking for. It was pretty specific, wasn't it?

You may want to place a lintel ( I think that's what it's called) over the door. Something has to hold those stones up. The window seems to have one. Nice kit & thank you.
