I have a question.

First of all, I hope everyone is enjoying the sale.  Your response has been great, but now I want to see some pix of all the kits that you’ve bought.

Now to the problem.  A long time customer of mine has, like many of us, been forced to upgrade to Windows10.  He says that Windows10 refuses to unzip his archived files.

I personally have not been able to reproduce this problem, so I don’t know how to help.

Have any of you, out there, had issues with Windows10 refusing to open any zipped Clever Models LLC files.  Please reply on the comments page.

no issues here using windows10 built in compression. I just bought 6 new models, and they unzipped fine.
He might try using 7-zip
www dot 7-zip dot org
It is reliable, and free

Thanks Dave, for the sale. I have a list of at least 11 or 12 models I will purchase. (just have to check if I already have any of them). I have had NO problem with opening zipped files on my Windows 10 computer.

I am Mike Robinson, with the "upzip" problem. I thank Mr. John Tabler for the "www dot 7-zip dot org lead". As Mr. Tabler reported, the 7-zip.org is most reliable, as well as being free. Indeed, it worked just great, and I saved myself $60 and a lot of headaches!!!!

All of my Clever Bros "zipped file" opened immediately with the 7-zip program in place. THANK YOU AGAIN MR. TABLER. Also, THANK YOU DAVE FOR ADVERTISING MY PROBLEM. I have been a loyal customer, since the inception of the Clever Bros. For me, CLEVER BROS. O Scale STRUCTURE KITS are the finest and easily made up in a multitude of options. THANK YOU DAVE, and kit those great kits coming.

Hi Mike - glad you are sorted out. 7-Zip is excellent - stick with it!

One further thing - Win 10 is pretty good, but ensure that you are fully updated. What happens is that some of the Win updates may result in the odd bug - Windows fix this quickly and issue a further related upgrade quickly.

In other words, go to the "Type Here To Search" (bottom left on the pull-up Task Bar and type "Windows Update" settings. See if there are any more waiting. If not check to see IF there are further updates, and run these.
