OK, so this has been a big month in Clever Models History.

Let’s see.  Let me list the major things that happened.

1) We’re on lockdown and going crazy.

2) We had a sale to help you not be so crazy.

3) I turned 70.  (I feel think like 20 and probably act like i’m 12.  I hope I grow up someday.)

4) I just got laid off from my day job.  Yea, you may wonder what am I doing still working at 70.  Can’t explaine it.  This layoff is because of the downturn in the economy and they say we will be back in 3 months.  So, the good news is I have some time to devote to THIS business.

5) A new FREEBIE has been posted.  This is a rework of our kit S-101 The Office Trailer.  But this time it is a DOUBLEWIDE, it’s yellow and has a new foundation instead of skirting and completly redone wooded stairs.

6) I just posted a new kit.  The Silver City Factory Flat.  It ends up being the third in the series.  Didn’t plan on there being a series, but the first two buildings are very popular so why not?

7) Like I asked for when I started the sale, you all have started sending in pix of what you have built during the lockdown.  I have posted two, so far.  Keep up the good work.

The 2nd. of the quarantine builds.

This building is sent in by Danny Becker.  He calls it the Loading Building and says that Bachman On30 Gons, fit in the door perfectly.  It is a bash of the Silver City Tool Shed.  It is actually a part of a bigger complex on Danny’s layout.  There will be pix of that later.  Another amazing model.  Folks, all it takes to come up with a really great and unique build is a kit to start off with and some imagination.  Well done Danny.  Thanks for sharing.

Well, The pictures are starting to come in.

This is the first of the pictures we have received of models built during the lockdown.  It’s sent to us by Richard Slocum, who says he patterened it after Pine Grove Baptist Church in Marlton, NJ.  If you compare this build to the original model, you realize how extensive this kit-bash really is.  Great job Richard.  Thanks for sharing.

As of midnight the sale is over.

Well folks, all good things must come to an end and I hope you thought this was a good thing.  I enjoyed bringing you the sale and I’m sure there will be another later this year.

You’ve still got a few minutes to take advantage, so go for it.

I hope that you all are just a little bit less claustrophobic because you are all building like crazy.  Please stay in and stay safe.  I’m praying that this will all be over soon.  That does not relieve you of your responsibility to send pictures.  Let’s see what you are doing.  In progress pix are fine.
