Manilla Rope & Cord corrections

Hello friends.  Just wanted to let you all know that the corrected files for both the HO & O Manilla Cord Kits are on the FREEBIES page.  I am currectly making a new master for the HO & O DVD’s.  Hopefully, I have destroyed all of the discs that had missing files.  Should you order a Jackson Vol. 3 DVD in either scale and get a bad one, I appologize.  Let me know and I will send you a new one at no cost.

One more thing.  I have replaced the old files labeled A), B) and C) which were help files, with a much more detailed and up to date folder labeled A).  If you have the old files, you still want to print out this file.  It is about 60 pages of great information.  I know that you will find it much more friendly that the old files that were quite frankly, a bit outdated.  I did keep Ben Streeters tutorial in this folder.  Check it out.

Computers are really wierd!

Just wanted to let you guys know that the pipeline to upload new projects wasn’t really broken, just slightly bent.  Turns out that I could upload files from just about any other computer in the house, but not the one that I use every day.  It had been a while since I had uploaded anything new and since the last kit, Windows automatic updates (which I usually have turned off) said that I really, really, really, needed to install their latest one, so I let it run.  Turns out that it caused ONE STINKING BUTTON on the server interface to stop working.  Unfortunately, it was the button that allowed me to browse for files that I wanted to upload.  Well, it’s modern computer technology that allows us to create these great kits and I suppose it will be the same that makes me go mad!

Questions, Questions, Questions. Clarification?

Hello again.  Apparently a couple of our latest posts have causd some questions which I hope to clarify here.

First, we don’t ever intend to charge you for visiting the website.  When we talk about generating revenue by your visits, we mean structuring and probably adding adds so that THEY pay for the website.  You already see adds over on the left side.  By using this and others, the advertisers provide the income.  There are many details to be worked out and if it detracts from the look of the website (meaning too many/too much space) it won’t happen.

Next is future projects.  YES, we have implied and promised many, many projects over the years.  Obviously, based on our completion percentage, we have not done exceptionally well in this area.  There are certain things that will deffinitely happen, because they must.  One is making all of our DVD contents downloadable.  That doesn’t mean that DVD’s will go away, but they will probably be available only at shows and by special order, kind of like we handle pre-printed textures currently.  (I have not forgotten about the “name the download” contest.  There will be a winner)

We ask for ideas for future projects because we want to know what YOU want and along that same path we want to know of all the things that we have suggested, implied and promised, in the past, what ones do you really want.  Let us know and in a week or two we will let you know which ones we will put back on the front burner and which ones will be officially cancelled.

Well thank you for your feedback so far, we are getting a lot of requests for new items, but besides those, I really want to know about items that we have previously mentioned.  Obviously Chama has allready been mentioned and a few others, like a church and a roundhouse.  I am not specifically going to remind you of anything.  I’m hoping for those items that we mentioned that so stuck in your minds that you can’t forget them, because if you can’t remember them, they will probably fall off the list forever.  One thing I would specifically like to ask about is the idea of a 1 stall enginehouse.  We allready have the 2 stall G&D in wood and the 1 stall Pole Barn in corrugated steel.  Specifically, what STYLE of enginehouse are you all asking about, brick maybe, a 1 stall version of the G&D???

I guess I shouldn't work when I'm tired.

As some of you have noticed, just about all of the buttons on the website mysteriously vanished temporarily.  In the process of pushing to get the Hotel loaded today (my only day off this week) I may have accidently sent them to a place far far away.  Luckily, most of them are back now.  You will find a few still missing like the “S Add to Cart”, “N Add to Cart” and “View Cart”.  The icons that are in the places where these buttons usually are do work and if clicked on, will take you where you want to go.  I will continue to restore what is missing and find is anything that has else has disappeared.  Sorry, I need a nap.

As of right now, I believe that all the missing buttons have returned to their proper places.  If you find any that aren’t back, let me know.
