Reply reguarding Bunkhouse Chimney question on Discussion Page

There was a question asked on the discussion page about why the chimney supplied with the kit doesn’t match the renderings found in the on the Get Models page. The questioner also wanted to know what the supplied brick chimney should look like and where it is positioned. Attached is a picture of what that chimney looks like and my comments are on the discussion page as a comment to the customer’s post.

Really, everyone, your feedback is so important.  I do agree with everything said.  I do remember questioning the size of the Union Hotel.  I agree that it does seem disproportionately smalish, BUT it is true to the original drawings.  Coming from an engineering background SOMEDAY WHEN I HAVE SOME TIME  (HA HA HA) I would like to scale up the Union with room sizes and corridors based on what I know to be typical of the era.  I think it would end up being an imposing structure.  I might just do is as a quick mockup to see what you all think of it.  Don’t hold your breath.  It took 2 years to get the kit to market, this project might never get off my bucket list.  If anybody else wanto to take on a challenge like that, feel free.

O.K. Time for a bit or market research.

Well folks.  I’m asking for your input again.  I get feedback from magazine adds and opinion polls and all kinds of other stuff, trying to figure out what you all want.  Your input recently has been great, but today let’s do something a bit different.

In the first week of sales, Hotel Bruce has far outsold the Union Hotel.  Would you let me know why?  Many of you bought both both and I thank you for that.

I’m wondering what makes Hotel Bruce more appealing?  Any answer is a good answer.  It could be color, style, size, whatever.

Just posted the other hotel kit that you have all waited so patiently for.  I think we should all thank Bob Bruce for his great scratch build and his generosity in allowing us to turn it into a kit.  Thanks Bob.
