Hi Ben,like your Boxcar and Steeple Cab,any chance of a view of the chassis and the front,to see how you have finished, and by the way i think you've done an excellant job on both, regards Marc.

Marc, thanks for the compliment. The steeple cab chassis is a plastic rapid prototype. I designed it in Solidworks CAD and printed it on a machine at my work. I will send some additional photos for Thom to post. I also have a great photo of a couple of retired south american steeple cabs which show a lot of detail on the frame. I worked off of these photos.

Oh yeah...I found that a Dixon Ticonderoga Renew pencil (made with recycled rubber) is just the right size for the side air tanks, and also is black. I did add paper straps to the tanks. I'll send the images to Thom and hopefully he will post them up!

The boxcar uses a cardstock chassis, as per Clever's design. I did devise a way to mount trucks which I will share under another entry.

Marc, I sent pictures to Thom. If you would like me to send them to you directly, just post an email address where you would like them sent.

Ben
