Well, I just did something different!

Hi folks.  As most of you know, I have been a died-in-the-wool, 2 rail O scaler for about 45 years.  BUT, I just joined an N scale club.  Wierd Huh?  Well maybe not.  Recently, I was delighted to see that a NEW BRICK and MORTAR TRAIN STORE opened up in Munster Indiana.  That’s about 20 minutes from my house.  It is called The Munster Train Depot and is located at 231 Ridge Road, Munster IN.  The website is <www.munstertraindepot.com>.  Phone number is (219) 743-9046.  Frank is the owner (really nice guy) and he is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11AM till about 7PM.  Here’s the thing.  He specializes in N scale but also has some HO and Z.  He also carries LEGO and BRIO.  Anyway, he is building a pretty large N scale layout and has started a club so folks can come in and run trains.  I thought he deserves all the support I could give hom, so I joined.  It’s always fun to get together with others for a good time.  In this era of diminishing stores, this is a BIG DEAL.  Frank will custom order for you in any scale, so send him some business.  Prices are pretty good.  Right now, the club meets on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7PM, till???  To be continued.

Cream City, Building C has arrived.

Can Building B, be far behind.  Actually, it will take a bit of time to get the last building out.  I’ve decided that I don’t like the footprint and so I am changing it.  Thanks for your patience.  Enjoy Building C in the meantime.

HAPPY NEW YEAR & The first builders pic of 2021

This is a diorama build by David Charlesworth.  It is 200mm x 100mm and was built for a competition run by the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association ( www.7mmnga.org.uk ) . The diorama came in joint runner up.  WOW!  When you realize that this is 7-7/8”x3-15/16”, it’s amazing the amount of story-telling you have included.  Well done, Sir.  Thanks for sending it to us.

Here's a little gift for you. Next FREEBIE is available.

I could say that this is in the spirit of Christmas, but you all did actually earn it, so the next freebie is now available.  This kit of a small wooden Ice House was developed by one of our finest paper modelers, David Sakrison.  He graceously provided his files for this kit.  I took them and arranged them in typical Clever Models Format, did a little enhansement and here they are.  This is a great small building that Dave based on our Creeky Roofing Kit.  He did a lot of kit bashing and came up with a great model.  Don’t know if this is based on an actual prototype or just from Dave’s fertile imagination, but again, it is a great model.
