This might not be "kit bashing", but it sure is amazing!

Our buddy Jeff Damerst sent us a bunch of pix of a diorama that he built.  It shows quite a few of our kits.  I’m not going to tell you all about it, at first.  Just look at the pix, 1 at a time.  I think you’ll figure out the amazing part.

It’s a nice display of a touristy attraction, complete with a miniature town and a small outdoor railroad.  The next picture is a closer view of the town.  A nice grouping of our kits.  Jeff is a big fan and a great builder.

The last picture kind of brings the the WOW! factor in.  It gives you an idea of the size of these buildings.

 The yellow building in the center is G scale.  The town is Z.  Way to go Jeff!

By the way, Jeff is the owner of Shawmut Car Shops where he specializes in custom painting G scale equipment.

Do you really want a $75 engine house?

Another model company just released a contemporary engine house. It’s plastic, HO and priced at $74.95. Our contemporary steel engine house can be made in any scale. You can make as many as you want or need and it sells for $7.95 or approximatly 10%. Did I mention that you can build as many as you want or as long as you want. Did I mention that our engine house looks fantastically realistic, is a fun and easy project, and needs no additional painting or weathering.

So maybe you want to save some money and buy a couple of locomotives to put in that engine house. Hmmmm.

Or perhaps a $54.95 small depot from another company. It’s wood, it looks a bit like our Branch Line Depot kit #S44 for $9.95. We have two other distinctive stations. The Small Town Station,  kit #S16 for $8.95 or its smaller companion the Flag Stop, kit #S39 for $4.95.

We invite you to do some fact checking. Clever Models kits look as good or better then any other kits on the market.

Paul Egri and Dave Rarig combined talents to bash this version of our Small Company House, Kit # S14.  This is what paper modeling is all about.  Think about how difficult it would be to take a single story house kit in resin, hydrocal, plastic, wood or any other medium and add a full porch, a second story and a stone chimney.  I don’t know how long it took to make these modifications, but I can gaurantee it wasn’t as difficult as it would be in any other material.  Great job guys!
