P/N S59 The CAR BARN (A.K.A. The POLE BARN)
This is a very generic looking steel building. It fits in really well with the rest of our steel buildings. It is large enough to house engines or rolling stock. Its length can be extended as needed by adding extra pieces to the walls and roof. It has been used in multiples side by side. The side building can be used on either or both sides and has been used by itself. This is a very versatile structure. Easy to build and comes with an interior. A real good first timer.

P/N S82 GREEZY GUS'S HAMBURGERS
Greezy’s (Not its real name.), is a small store brought to us by our friend Bill Laird. It is quite small, only about 13’ square, but very accurate reproduction with a lot of old fashioned charm. It will look great on just about any street corner you put it on. We have changed a few of the roof details to make it more interesting and easier to build. Anyone with fair skills can probably put this kit together in a week of evenings. (Although the bench is a challenge.)It comes with an optional interior.O Scale $7.95 HO Scale $5.95

P/N S35 HARVEY'S HOBBIES
This is a selectively compressed version of an actual shop, near our homes in Harvey, Illinois. It is still there although it has not been open for many years. The model scales out to 17’-3 wide x 17’-0 deep x 23’-0 to the roof peak. The actual building is over 50’ deep. This is a medium difficulty kit because of the false front and roof trim, but still easy enough for just about anyone. There is a simplified interior included. There is also a hanging LIONEL sign that mounts to a pole between the front windows that is included, but not shown. Mounting is by the modeler.O Scale $7.95 HO Scale $5.95

P/N S27 The ENGINE HOUSE at GORRE
We have been asked many times to please make the GORRE enginehouse available as a download. Well, here she is. This is not an EXACT replica although it is authorized by the NMRA who owns the rights to all things from the late John Allen’s estate. We have made minor embellishments to the kit, such as adding doors where John had none. There are also a variety of stacks that can be built.
This is a new departure for us in that these are very large files. Please be prepared to have a good steady internet connection before you attempt to download.

P/N S30 The SMALL STEEL MILL BLDG 02
We call this our “SMALL” steel mill building and although it is similar in style to its big brother, it is more weathered and has different proportions. It could be used for just about any industry or the kind of place you might stash that flying saucer and all those pods. The main building is 21’-9 wide x 39’-0 deep x 24’-6 tall and the wing buildings, which can be used separately add 12’-0 to each side. The wings have been used together to make a building of their own. As you can see in the pictures, this building can be easily stretched. In this case 3 times.O Scale $7.95 HO Scale $5.95

P/N S29 The BIG STEEL MILL BLDG 01
We call this our “BIG” steel mill building and it is a really big model. There are also a pair of “wing” buildings along either side that are 9’-9 wide each which increases the overall width to 53’-6. These wing buildings can be used separately. P/N S18 JEFFERSON ICE Co.
Ice distributors like the Jefferson Ice Co. were a common, even iconic sight found in most moderate sized towns.
From the 30’s through the early 60’s, they supplied ice in blocks and cubes to industries and homes until ice became a do-it-yourself activity. The Jefferson Ice Company was torn down in late 2008. We were fortunate to find it, before that, in Des Plaines, IL. P/N S12 BRICK GARAGE
A brick, 2 bay structure, that was found while touring the alleys of Chicagos’ Rogers Park neighborhood. What caught our eye, was the slightly larger size and the loft above the garage doors. Buildings like this were common to urban neighborhoods, which often had (and still have) small industries running “out back”. This would make a great auto shop, welding shop, out building or even a garage. This kit comes with 2 different roofs, several types of doors, a small dormer and a small shed. P/N S52 ENCLOSED HEX WOODEN WATER TANK
Enclosed water tanks could be found along the right-of-way of many railroads in the colder climates, where the water had to be protected from freezing. Tanks, similar to this one, were found on the CP, CN and the O&W. The capacity shown here is about 60,000 gallons, but because of the ease of kit-bshing a cardstock model, can be built larger or smaller to suit your needs. The windows, doors and spout can be located in just about any position. Rigging for the spout is not included. The inspiration for these models came from one we saw on an HO layout at the 2013 Amherst Railway Society Hobby Show. Just a simple structure that can be built as an elevator for Coal or Grain. Parts are included for both. Even though this is a simple structure, I rate it as being an advanced level kit that will probably take a month of evenings to complete. The basic size of the building assembly is 53’ wide x 22’ deep x 48’-6 tall. That is not counting the dump pit (included) or any track needed. (Vehicles & track shown are NOT included.) P/N S107 Wood & Steel Industry Complex (Low relief)
This complex of three buildings is only 1-1/2” deep, but it has some really deep character. This is a fairly simple kit to build. Great for a first timer. The complex is made up of three buildings and while they are not intended to be used separately, with a bit of ingenuity, they could be. Building A, (Right end), is 21’-6 wide x 20’-6 Tall x 2’-0 deep, Building B (Middle) is 22’-6 wide x 26’-9 tall x 3’-9 deep and Building A, (Left end), is 16’-0 wide x 5’-0 deep x 37’-3 tall. That makes the entire complex about 60’ wide. Also includes is an 8’ deep loading platform and some crates. A really fun kit. Great for those hard to fill spaces against a backdrop.

P/N S106 Narrow Gauge Backwoods Enging Shack
This is a fairly small, single track building that could be used to house any type of equipment, like a snow plow or small switcher. It is an older building, but in good shape, though not very elaborate. Just the thing you would find tucked away in the tall timber. This is a fairly simple kit that just about any modeler can put together in less that a week of evenings. The footprint of the main building is 21’ x 12’-6 with a 6’ addition on the back. The roof peak is at 21’ and the door opening is 8’ wide x 12’-6 tall.

P/N S105 1912 FIREHOUSE
This model is based on Firehouse #3, built in 1912 that still proudly serves Gary, Indiana. It sits on the North East corner of 12th. Avenue and Roosevelt Street. This version is not an exact copy but the front facade is very similar to the original. Even though this is a very large kit, to make it an exact replica would make it far larger. A modeler with average skill will require about two weeks of evenings to complete this kit. It is a large 2 story building, measuring 28’ wide x 56’ deep and 37’ tall to the main roof and 57’ tall to the tip of the hose hanging tower.

P/N S05 GATEMANS' TOWER
The Gatemans Tower is based on a prototype on the Milwaukee road in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This 1920’s vintage gate house was in operation well into the 70’s. I know of other octagonal gate houses in other locations and, in fact, saw one here in a Chicago rail yard.
In O scale this kit has a footprint of barely 2”, however the staircase extends another 3” further out.
The building experience was a real pleasure.

P/N S47 HABBAKER'S GARAGE

You can just about see that there is a wooden staircase, to the second floor, against the left wall. This building is also available as part of our “First street” DVD. This is another of John Kosma’s designs from his Gypsy Trolley Line. Also included, is a shadow box, showing two antique cars. P/N S46 WESTERN STOREFRONT 01
As the title implies “01” probably means that there will be more of this style of structure coming in the future. We have had allot of requests for some Western motif structures. No particular prototype for this one, but I think you will agree that this is a good start to what will be a line of generic Western prototypes. This structure comes with a complete interior and at least three different signs. There are also enough “extra” parts for you to model at least three fairly distinctive looking buildings with one kit. (The N Scale version will be available shortly.)

P/N 100 MODERN STEEL ENGINEHOUSE (blue)
This is a very simple looking building. Fairly small, especially for an enginehouse. It is only 20’ wide x 35’ deep x 28’ tall with a 13’-6” wide x 21’ tall door. Can be easily extended to a more realistic length by adding side wall & roof sections. Many, many prototypes for this type of building exist with a countless number of variations. P/N S99 MODERN STEEL BUILDING (blue)
Many of our friends have asked for some modern diesel era buildings. This is the first of what will eventually be a new series of modern buildings. We thought we would start with about as basic a building as you will find anywhere. This is a simple kit, a basic box with an optional roll-up door lean-to. The walls are all blank, but there are four sheets with nothing but doors and windows that you can locate anywhere. You could probably put ten of these on your layout and make then all look different. Basic footprint is 27’ wide x 37’ deep x 17’ tall.NOTE: This kit comes in O scale with instructions to print in ANY smaller scale.

P/N S85 CLYDE PUFFER CARGO BOAT
The Clyde Puffer is a flat bottomed, coal fired, steam powered, cargo boat. They were used in the Firth & Clyde canal system and surrounding waters of Scotland. Their steam engine made a characteristic puffing sound, hence, the the name. They carried everything from coal to farm produce and could be “beached” at low tide for unloading. They were typically under 66’ in length so they could fit in the canal locks. Our version has been selectively compressed to about 35’, but could be easily lengthened by printing a second hull & deck sheet and splicing them together.
